Palestine is personal for me.
When I first traveled to the West Bank, in April of 2023, I was expecting to feel overwhelmed. But after week of visiting some of the most intensely occupied areas, I left feeling angry, hurt and, above all, disappointed that much of the U.S. political establishment could care less.

Here to help me along that journey is
, professor of journalist at City University of New York, as well as a former Zionist who has been speaking out against Israel’s apartheid regime. Our conversion ranged from discussing the Israel’s stronghold on the political elites in the U.S., the disingenuous conflation of criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism, Zuhran Mamdani’s run for NYC mayor, as well as our journeys to use our journalism to help people better understand each other and my experience as a Black man in Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
This is gonna be a great weekend discussion for you to watch!
